Panorama Mountain Resort

Panorama Mountain Resort

Close to Banff and Calgary, Panorama Mountain Resort is located along the Powder Highway, at the heart of some of North America's best skiing. There's simply nothing like it in the Rockies.

Panorama has been blessed with perhaps the finest fall line in the country. You don't want steep-flat-steep-flat runs. You want a consistent pitch. Panorama Mountain rises 4,000 vertical feet and has more than 2,800 acres of terrain. It's not until you reach the summit of Panorama that you fully realize the magnitude of what our mountain has to offer.

Panorama is also unique in that the resort offers daily heli-skiing and snowmobiling right from the village, giving guests an amazing experience of big mountains and deep snow.

One of the most appealing attributes of the Mountain Village is that it is, in fact, a village that is built for walking. Intentionally intimate, the resort embraces you with a range of ski-in / ski-out accommodation.

Access is easy. Fly into Calgary and drive one of the world's great mountain highways, through Banff and Kootenay National Parks.

New & Notable for the 2019/2020 winter season, Dec 6, 2019 to Apr 12, 2020:
  • There's two new dining venues. Alto Kitchen & Bar will serve up rustic Italian pizza out of a beautiful custom built Forno Bravo pizza oven. They will also serve breakfast and lunch. And, Fireside Cafe and Lounge will offer locally roasted coffee, baked goods and on weekends and holidays, the cafe will turn into an evening lounge for wine and chilled out apres.
  • On the mountain, the expert, steep and deep terrain in Taynton Bowl has continually been expanded with four new runs.  Monster X - a snowcat that's roomy enough to take a dozen skiers into Panorama's newest monstrous terrain will again be taking powder seekers to the furthest reaches beginning December 21.

Panorama offers a scheduled Airport Shuttle. The shuttle runs in each direction, twice daily to transfer guests to and from the Calgary International Airport.

Panorama is located right in the heart of the Powder Highway. The Powder Highway features 8 world-class ski resorts, 11 epic heli-ski companies, 13 kick-ass cat ski operators and a host of Nordic ski trail sites. Smart travellers choose to basecamp at Panorama as the resort lends itself well to an all-inclusive vacation because of the wide variety of activities. Its proximity to other Powder Highway destinations is ideal and most can be easily experienced on day trips.

Experience the steeps and deeps of former heli-ski terrain by chairlift. One run in Taynton Bowl takes skiers down the full 4,019 vertical feet of the mountain. Choose from an epic ridgetop ride to playful powder bowls. This 750 acre area is absolutely magical for powder enthusiasts. What makes it so special is that, besides unreal snow and terrain, this area is controlled for avalanches and patrolled. Specialized backcountry equipment and guide services are not required.
