#1 - In your opinion, what is the Kootenay's best kept secret?

I don't give up valuable information like that. Come on an adventure and I'll show you!

#2 - Describe one of your favourite days in the Koots!

A couple years ago in March, I managed to fit in almost every one of my favourite activities into one day. Sunrise flight over the Valhallas, hike up Pulpit Rock, climbing in Castlegar followed by a swim in the Columbia River,  kayaking on kootenay lake, and a headlamp ski tour at whitewater! What a day!

#3 - Name your top '3 things' you love about the Kootenays

The people are amazing and live here for the lifestyle. The wilderness is plentiful and there's always new zones to explore. Even on the hottest August day, there is always a place to take a brisk plunge into some glacier-fed water!

#4 - If you could choose that one spot in the Kootenays for a first-time visitor to explore, where would it be?

Well I don't want everybody rushing out there at once, but there's something extra special about the Jumbo Valley.

#5 – How does exploring our Kootenay backcountry inspire you?

Experiencing each one of my favourite spots in a new season with new light gets me out of bed no matter what time of year. From July blossoms on Idaho Peak to golden larches in Monica Meadows in September, there's always something beautiful to see. I love sharing my photos with everyone to keep them inspired too!
