Emerald Lake Lodge
A respect for the past characterizes the accommodations at Emerald Lake Lodge. Dotting the 13 acre peninsula are 24 cabin style buildings (accommodating up to 200 guests), newly built to reflect the traditional architecture of the lodge.
Rooms amenities include: private baths, balconies, fieldstone wood burning fireplaces, complimentary firewood, feather duvets and pillows, telephones, coffee makers, hair dryers and alarm clocks.
All guestrooms and the main lodge are non-smoking. Other amenities include outdoor hot tub, sauna, licensed dining, restaurant, summer cafe, lounge and meeting rooms.
Hiking and cross-country skiing trails leave directly from the lodge. Horseback riding is also offered in the area. The on-site Trading Co. – The Boathouse is a gift shop and offers canoe and cross-country ski rentals.
The Mount Burgess Dining Room is renowned for its signature Rocky Mountain Cuisine and comfortable, warm atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner is offered here. Experience Chef Valerie Morrison’s seasonal menu, featuring free-range elk, bison and caribou along with seafood, pasta and sophisticated desserts. The wine list is extensive and features many award winning Canadian wines from central British Columbia and includes a large selection of hard to find vintners’ reserve wines.
Cilantro on the Lake is casual but undeniably magical. Located by the bridge, it offers imaginative bistro-style lunches. Featured selections include flatbread pizzas, pasta and sandwiches. For dinner, the menu features delicious grilled meats or seafood. The food and the views are simply unbeatable.
The Kicking Horse Lounge is open Sunday to Thursday from noon – 10pm; Friday, Saturday and peak times from 11am to 11pm. An all day menu is featured. Fully licensed.
Emerald Lake Lodge is located 20 minutes west of Lake Louise in Yoho National Park. The turnoff to Emerald Lake Lodge is located 1 km west of Field.
