July 31 to August 2 -The Kaslo Block Party fills the historic Jazz Festival long weekend with programming across multiple venues including the Langham Cultural Centre, Kaslo Hotel, Buddy’s Pizza, Kaslo Park and more. Live music, workshops, jazz vespers, a farmers market and family programming throughout the weekend.
Part of the Block Party is Kootenay Konnects at the Kemball Garden, featuring ten regional DJs headlined by Adham Shaikh, one of Canada’s most respected world electronic artists, spanning world electronic, deep house, funk, disco, downtempo and chillout. The event features a colour-coded wristband speed connection activation, a first for the Kootenays, designed to help community members find romance, friendship and business collaboration in a fun festival setting.
