June 13-15 is BC’s Family Fishing Weekend. This year marks the 26th anniversary of this annual celebration, which coincides with Father’s Day each year. No fishing license is required during these days. Check the website for details on specific events.
Free family Learn to Fish programs are held in many parks throughout the Kootenay Rockies during the summer. It’s an introductory program for youth, families and adults.
