Assiniboine, the Lodge is surrounded by stunning peaks, alpine meadows filled with wildflowers, larch trees and turquoise lakes. Assiniboine Lodge is located in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park in British Columbia 26 kilometres (16 mi) from the nearest road, it is a place of incredible peace ... a place where guests disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with nature, family and friends.
Comfortable and cozy accommodations are the perfect base to explore the spectacular surroundings. The full-service lodge welcomes 24 guests in winter and 30 summer guests in 7 private cabins and 5 lodge rooms.
Accessible from Canmore, by helicopter and hiking or skiing trail. The helicopter staging area and most popular trailhead is located in Kananaskis Country, Alberta at the Mount Shark Helipad and the Mount Shark Trailhead. Hiking access is also possible from Sunshine Resort and from Highway 93.

During the summer, Assiniboine Lodge welcomes guests to hike among some of the world's most breathtaking views. Each day, guests can choose between two guided hiking trips. One is easier and shorter, while one is more challenging and longer.
In the winter, the meadows and mountains around Assiniboine Lodge offer the best traditional ski touring in the Canadian Rockies. From rolling meadows to alpine summits, the varied terrain and ski touring guided by fully-certified ACMG mountain guides make Assiniboine the perfect place for backcountry skiers of all levels.
After a day out 'moving in the mountains' in winter or summer, return to the lodge and share stories of the day with fellow guests over tea, fresh baked goodies and tasty snacks or a beer on the deck.
Assiniboine Lodge manages the Campgrounds and operates basic overnight shelters at the Naiset Huts for hikers and skiers and the Hind Hut for climbers.
