Craft ales and lagers, brewed in small batches in the heart of Nelson on Baker Street. Join them in the intimate taproom where you can enjoy a pint or sampling flight, or grab some cans to go.

There is also a rotating selection of ciders, wine and non-alcoholic options.
The 1,300 sq ft taproom has a modest capacity of 110 patrons. The room is designed to evoke a cozy, backcountry cabin feel, just like those found up in the backroads of Nelson. In the warmer seasons, Backroads opens up a fantastic patio out front on Baker Street.
They are all about local: the wood in the taproom is from local mills and forests, the custom-made furniture and fixtures were fabricated by local metal workers, local art hang on the walls – even most of the Backroads-branded gear in the retail area is designed and created in the region.
Their beer is also available in Nelson’s restaurants and pubs, and Government and private liquor stores throughout the Kootenay Rockies and the Okanagan.
