Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge is remote and perched at tree line in the middle of dramatic Selkirk ski touring terrain. The lodge is accessed by a 15 minute helicopter flight from Golden.

Battle Abbey has all types of skiing for intermediate to advanced ski tourers and boarders. Below the hut, 600 vertical metres (2,000 ft) of intermediate to extreme tree skiing awaits. When the conditions permit, several 1,500 vertical metre (5,000 ft) runs and ski mountaineering peaks await.

Sustainability Initiatives
The Battle Abbey Lodge uses energy / fuel efficient equipment and technologies, have standard operating policies to conserve water and have a recycling system in place.

The Lodge

The lodge can accommodate 14 guests and runs off of solar panels, wood stoves and a quiet running generator on stormy days. Over 3,000 sq feet of comfortable living space is offered. The boot room has a moderate ski workshop. The main floor is where guests can relax in the living room complete with yoga mats, sore muscle rollers, stereo, games and an array of musical instruments.

Foodies will love the cuisine as over 1,000 lbs of food is flown in every Saturday and the chefs are full of razzle and dazzle. Dinner is served in the spacious dining room complete with a 180-degree view of the spectacular setting.
