The beautiful chalet at Campbell Icefields offers comfort and warmth. Amenities include indoor night toilet, running cold water, electric lights, wood stove, propane heaters, spacious kitchen with two propane stoves/ovens, adjacent cold room for food storage, bright dining room and comfortable sitting area.
Ten bright bedrooms can sleep up to 22 guests; four rooms have 173 cm (68 inches) wide beds, ideal for couples. The drying room has a propane heater. A nearby sauna and shower building completes the comfort and convenience.
The chalet is situated at tree level 2,088 m (6,850 feet), near the towering peaks of the Freshfield Range, north of Golden, on the snowy west side of the Rocky Mountains. Surrounded by the Campbell Icefield and many other glaciers, the area provides a virtual playground for backcountry enthusiasts. The terrain is suitable for all levels of ability. A vast bowl surrounds the chalet.
The Campbell Icefield and the adjacent peaks call for a full day of exploring, with memorable ski runs.
