CMH Purcell

On August 30, 2021, CMH welcomed their newest heli-ski destination to the CMH family.
CMH Purcell (formerly Purcell Heli-Skiing) was founded in 1974 by esteemed Swiss mountain guide Rudi Gertsch.
CMH will now carry on the Gertsch family’s legacy.

CMH Purcell’s backyard is endless, with more than 250 runs and 495,000 acres of new-to-CMH backcountry tenure to experience.  It includes wide open glaciers, high alpine bowls, gladed subalpine forest and some of the best tree skiing around.

A smaller group of skiers – 6 guests per group – means big potential to cruise more vertical feet each day. Flexibly go from arcing glacier turns to whooshing through trees.  From big, boast-worthy lines to mellow glades, the expansive terrain easily suits a wide variety of skiing styles.

Day Trips

CMH Purcell offers 1, 2 and 3-day trips. Packages include a light morning and apres-ski snacks, lunch, safety gear and skis, plus 2 guides per group.

CMH Purcell does not include accommodation – with an in-town base, in the mountain adventure town of Golden, there are plenty of places to stay and eat.

Skiers meet in the morning at the day lodge (438 Lafontaine Road, Golden). Guests are responsible for their own transportation to/from the CMH Purcell day lodge and staging area.  Visit the Transportation page for other options.
