The Blue Lake Camp provides rental opportunities to families, small and large groups. They operate the Columbia Outdoor School and the Blue Lake Camp – an outdoor education centre located 45 minutes south of Fairmont and an hour north of Cranbrook.
Salmon Lodge overlooks Blue Lake and is slightly removed from the main camp facilities. The five bedroom lodge, 2.5 bathroom private lodge is the perfect base for your outdoor holiday in the Purcell Mountains. The lodge sleeps 1-19 people and rates are dependent on the number in your group.
Blue Lake Camp is available year-round for private rentals. It can accommodate group sizes from 1 to 137 people. Blue Lake Camp is the ultimate destination for group gatherings and vacation getaways.
Accommodation & Dining Hall – The cozy log cabins feature dormitory style bunk beds, a wood stove with firewood and supplies and mattresses. Ten log cabins each sleep 6-16 people or 137 people in total. Includes access to wash house. The dining hall features a commercial kitchen, deck and seats up to 130 people.
Facilities include a swimming area with docks, boat house, firepit, large outdoor gathering area. Canoes and life jackets are available for use.
In the winter, guests have access to an ice rink and tracked cross-country ski trails. The area offers endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, tobogganing and snowshoeing too.
Columbia Outdoor School provides educational programming focusing on recreation outdoor skill development, environmental science and leadership. They accomplish this through fun, meaningful and collaborative learning experiences in the natural environment. Activities include canoeing and hiking.
