Cranbrook Biking Trails

With both the Rocky and Purcell Mountain ranges so near to Cranbrook, it’s an awesome place to bike.  The Cranbrook area features a world-class mix of riding opportunities. From road riding to single-track, to gravel routes to groomed winter riding tails such as South Star Trails (pictured above).

Whether your aspirations are small or large – head for the trails.
Here’s a couple highlighted areas; the community offers many more options on their Trail Map-brochure and at the Resource links below.

  1. Chief Isadore Trail – It has several trailheads to start and stop your journey; the trail is for cycling and walking on mostly rail grade at 3% with a few shorter sections of steeper grades up to 10%.
  2. Cranbrook Community Forest – Over 2,000 hectares of crown land. An ecosystem of grasslands, forests and lakes! Single track groomed trails for winter biking, snowshoeing and hiking.

Get a Cranbrook Trail Map at the Visitor Centre, or order one by mail – they’re free.
