Fernie Wilderness Adventures offers a number of year-round guided activities including cat-skiing, fishing, scenic float trips and wildlife viewing. Whatever your pleasure, you’ll find it in Fernie!
Snowcat skiing and boarding is fantastic backcountry skiing. If you dream of fresh tracks in bottomless powder, this is a ‘must-do’ for you. The terrain is predominately gladded tree skiing, with occasional tree bands leading into open chutes suitable for advanced intermediate to advanced type skiers.
For the summer, Fernie Wilderness Adventures offers fly-fishing, scenic float trips, and 3-7 day camping trips. The scenic Elk and Flathead Rivers offer world-class dry fly-fishing opportunities.
The area is also known for its abundance of wildlife. Half and full day guided trips are offered; you can expect to see the wildlife from the grizzly bears to bald eagles.
The mountain lodge includes all meals prepared on-site by the resident chef. The lodge features a large living room area, dining room, 8 bedrooms, private and shared baths. It boasts a spacious vaulted ceiling living area with a solid wood dining table fit for a king, where guests can share stories and recollections of the day.
