A popular day-use family recreation destination, James Chabot Provincial Park, located next to Lake Windermere in Invermere, offers an array of recreational activities including swimming, kayaking/canoeing, windsurfing and volleyball.
This park has a day-use/picnic area with 40 picnic tables, 360 metres of sandy beach backed by a grassy area and 171 parking stalls. This park is wheel chair accessible (with three concrete ramps that provide access into the lake). (Please be reminded that pets are prohibited in the day-use areas of provincial parks).
The park also conserves a marshy area important as habitat for a wide range of wetland inhabitat.
The Park is open year-round.
