K3 Cat Ski

Join K3 this winter and experience the wonderful snow, diverse terrain and their commitment to providing you with an exceptional backcountry skiing adventure.

With a tenure in excess of 33,000 acres, K3 offers a good mix of runs from treed with a nice pitch, some steep, open alpine areas and some long cruising runs too. Skiing and snowboarding is on a mountain locally known as K3. Many of the runs are treed with a nice path but there are also wide open alpine areas where you can enjoy long cruising runs.

Day Skiing
You will be picked up at your Revelstoke accommodation property in a Toyota Sequoia 4×4 truck to the snowcat departure point.  From Revelstoke, it is a 30 minute drive west on Highway 1 and then 20 minutes up the mountain road.

Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided as well as safety equipment: transceiver, shovel, probe, radio and backpack.  Guests will arrive back in Revelstoke at approximately 5:30pm.

Multi-day Skiing with K3 Lodge accommodation
Guests are required to be at the Lybarger Road parking area (43 km w of Revelstoke, about a 30 minute drive) by 5pm on the day before your first day of skiing. See website for more driving directions.

After checking in, dinner will be served at 7pm. On your first morning of skiing, there will be a review of snowcat safety, etc. On all other days, you’ll depart the lodge around 9am returning to the lodge in the afternoon around 4pm.

Safety equipment is provided: transceiver, shovel, probe, radio and backpack.

Lodge
The lodge is a new timber-frame structure. Upstairs are 8 cozy bedrooms, each with a full-size bed and 3-piece ensuite bathroom. Downstairs is a change room with lockers, boot and glove dryers. The kitchen is well appointed where the chef prepares wonderful meals. Meals are served family style around a large dining table. The lounge with fireplace is a great place to enjoy a beer or wine.

There is limited cell phone service at the lodge and a satellite phone is available.
