Kikomun Creek Park

This park offers great Kokanee salmon fishing in the lake, a wide variety of family hiking, mountain biking and water recreation opportunities.

Kikomun Creek Park has extensive fire-maintained ecosystems of Ponderosa Pines and Douglas Fir forests and a grassland habitat which supports a notable population of Western Painted Turtles (please do not disturb or remove these turtles from the park).

Campground

The campground offers 105 vehicle/tent campsites, 75 sites are reservable. Other campground amenities include, two group campsites, two developed beaches on Surveyors Lake, a boat ramp on Lake Koocanusa, a playground and an amphitheatre.

Location

Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is located on Lake Koocanusa, 75 kilometres (46 mi) east of Cranbrook. Lake Koocanusa is a 144 kilometre (89 mi) long reservoir created by the Libby Dam on the Kootenay River in Montana.

Open Year-round

The Park is open year-round unless inaccessible due to weather conditions and the campground is open from May to September.
