Kootenay Gallery is a public art gallery and gift shop. It proudly offers exclusive gift items created by local artists and craftspeople. The art gallery's rotating exhibitions feature established Canadian and International artists as well as the work of local and regional emerging artists. The gift shop features the work of over 100 local artisans.The Exhibition Schedule is stimulating and inspiring. The schedule presented offers art focused on the local in either themes that are relevant to the region or showcasing local artists. While there is a a definite local flavour, the themes and the work of local artists have a wider, universal appeal as well.
Across from the Castlegar Airport and just past the Doukhobor Discovery Centre, you'll find Castlegar’s beautiful gallery and gift shop.
