Ktunaxa Nation Council Society

The Ktunaxa Nation Council Society (KNCS) supports the Ktunaxa Nation in advancing stewardship, governance, cultural revitalization, language preservation, economic development, and the protection of Aboriginal rights and title throughout ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa. KNCS works collaboratively with Ktunaxa communities, governments, industry, and regional organizations to promote responsible stewardship of lands, waters, wildlife, and cultural heritage.

Through initiatives such as the Ktunaxa Homelands project, KNCS supports tourism experiences that deepen public understanding of Ktunaxa history, language, place names, cultural sites, stories, and businesses throughout the traditional territory. The organization promotes destination stewardship, cultural interpretation, reconciliation, and meaningful connections between visitors and the Ktunaxa Homelands, while supporting opportunities for Indigenous tourism and economic development across the region.
