Nipika Mountain Resort

Nipika Mountain Resort is simply spectacular.

Stay in a luxury timber frame lodge or log cabin in the heart of the Kootenay Rockies; it is the perfect spot for your family, business or group getaway.

Nipika is an eco-resort that is run completely off the grid using solar power to give you every luxury of a home.

It is set amid a massive 100 km (62 mi) scenic trail network that starts at your door step. In conjunction with BC Forest Service, Nipika is the doorway to the Cross River Recreation Site.

The activities you can experience are endless. There are over 50 km (31 mi) of single track trails to enjoy on your mountain bike or in your runners or hiking boots. No trip to Nipika is complete without a visit to the Natural Bridge. Enjoy spending the day in a SOAR boat canoeing the Kootenay River, half or full day trips are available. You can also hire a guide to take you above the treeline on one of the alpine hikes around the area. Looking for a longer adventure?

Try one of Nipika’s multi-day Adventure Camps; they include whitewater canoeing, hiking and mountain biking. A number of different trips are offered to give you the adventure you’re looking for. Nipika also offers 3-hour horseback rides. The outing starts with some ground work and horse socialization – then enjoy the natural surroundings on horseback. Rides vary with the skill level of riders.

And, Nipika’s new disc golf course is open for public use.  It’s a fun activity with mountain, forest and river views.

Nipika Mountain Resort shines in the winter. There are 50+km of cross-country ski trails, set up for both classic and skate-skiing, with another 15 km (9 mi) just dedicated to classic. Nipika also has separate groomed fat biking trails, with another 35 km (22 mi) being planned! Separate again is the snowshoeing trails, which double as the summer single track trails. The winter activities don’t end there, they also have ice skating on the Nipika Pond.
