Teck operates five coal mines in the Elk Valley. The operations straddle a rich coal belt in the southeastern corner of British Columbia.

Sparwood is home to one of the world’s largest tandem axle dump trucks, the Terex Titan weighing 260 tons. It could carry 350 tons during its operation in one the area’s coal mines.
