Selkirk Snowcat Skiing offers offers spectacular ski terrain in a weather zone known for epic dumps of powder year after year. For more than 40 years, they have provided the wilderness ski experience of a lifetime.
Imagine a mountain playground almost double the size of Whistler Blackcomb – for just 24 skiers or riders.
Spectacular peaks surround Selkirk’s tenure, framing what is often cited as the best cat serviced terrain in the world. The cat roads reach a staggering 2,530 metres (8,300 ft) that access wide open alpine bowls, mellow glades, aggressive but skiable trees and challenging steeps and chutes.
The lodge is located at 1,280 metres (2,400 ft) and offers a beautiful, remote setting and spectacular views of Kootenay Lake and the Purcell Mountains. It has a casual atmosphere and guest rooms consist of standard accommodation of double occupancy with private baths, single rooms and 3 king suites.
A wide variety of delicious, healthy and hearty meals are served – from wild Pacific salmon, rack of lamb, grass-fed beef to creative vegetarian dishes. Many ingredients are produced locally.
