Lake Koocanusa boasts over 200 kilometres (250 mi – on Canadian side) of accessible shoreline composed of sandy beaches, bays, secluded coves and points of interest to beach your home away from home.  Fish for Kokanee Salmon and, swim and ski in the warm waters of Lake Koocanusa.

Sunshine offers a full-service marina including Houseboat and Sport Boat rentals and the Koocanusa Waterpark. Additional services include moorage, storage and an on-site mechanic. Visit the Driftwood store to fuel up and grab some necessities. Enjoy a bite at the delicious Dockside Cantina. Lake Koocanusa is the perfect escape for the water sport enthusiast.

Koocanusa Waterpark

In 2016, Sunshine Marina introduced the first Waterpark to Lake Koocanusa. The aquatic playground became an instant hit with families – it’s a great way to enjoy the area even more. In 2021, Sunshine brought a brand new Waterpark.  It’s larger and more fun!


Sunshine offers 5 exceptional houseboats (listed above) available for 3, 4 or 7 night packages for parties of 2-20 people. Amenities include complete kitchen with microwaves and full-size ovens, stereo, barbecues, waterslide, hot tub and much more.

Additional boat rentals include sport boat, pontoon boats, seadoos, fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, water toys and paddle boards.

Camping – Uplands Annual Campsites at Sunshine Marina
These beautiful annual sites are perfect for those who want to enjoy the entire summer on Lake Koocanusa. Sites are annual only, fully-serviced with lakefront and treed site options.

Gold Bay Recreational Sites
This 22-site provincial recreational campground is located on the west shore of Lake Koocanusa, 800 metres from Sunshine Houseboats Marina and Waterpark. The rustic and treed recreation campground features sites for a variety of recreational vehicles and tents. The property includes 3 pit toilets, fire rings, gravel pads and picnic tables. These sites are first come / first served, with a maximum two week stay.
