September 6 – 8 is Camping Appreciation Weekend when participating campgrounds say thank you to campers for their patronage and to raise funds for Care Camps, to send children with cancer to specialized oncology camps. Participating Kootenay Rockies campgrounds are St. Eugene KOA, Golden Riverfront Campground, Revelstoke RV & Cabin Resort and Lemon Creek Pioneer Campground.
