Beautiful Kootenay Lake lies between the powder destination peaks and slopes of the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains. These ranges offer distinct terrain and snowpack characteristics. From rocky alpine bowls to open treeline, you’ll find what every powder skier is looking for. The terrain stretches over 80 km (50 mi) from the village of Kaslo to the northern end of the tenure. With 125,000 acres to visit, the sky is the limit!
Based in Kaslo at the modern Victorian Kaslo Hotel on the shores of Kootenay Lake, they have access to some of the biggest mountains in the Kootenay Rockies. Smaller groups allow you the versatility to ski/board at your own pace, whether its ripping fast or savouring the powder turn. Your guide will design the ski day to the groups desire, from open alpine bowls and chutes to steep tree skiing. It’s all possible within a day at Stellar.
